"Somatic Breathing”

Somatic Breathing is a straightforward technique designed to heighten your awareness of your body and its sensations. This practice helps you pinpoint areas of restriction within your physical self, as well as in your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, which can lead to reduced anxiety and stress.
By cultivating a more profound connection with your body, you can achieve a more complete sense of self. This grounding enables you to handle emotions, stress, and discomfort with greater ease, promoting increased mindfulness and alleviating daily anxiety and stress. This technique provides valuable moments to stop and reconnect with yourself.
The 4-7-8 breathing exercise is a somatic breathing technique known for its ability to ease anxiety and stress.
To perform this exercise:
Gently inhale through your nose for a count of four
Hold your breath for a count of seven,
Exhale audibly for a count of eight
(keeping the tip of your tongue in contact with the back of your upper front teeth throughout the exercise).
