For September 2025, consider checking in with your internal compass.
Intentions are crucial for guiding you toward your desires-they differ from goals in several ways:
1. Mindset/Way of Being: Intentions are about "being" and are internal, focusing on how you want to live your life while staying present.
2. Connection to Purpose: Unlike linear goals, intentions relate to the energy you project and your contribution to the larger world. For example, an intention to feel abundant might mean financial abundance to support loved ones or more quality time with them.
3. Alignment with Authentic Self: Intentions are tied to your values and act as an internal compass. They must align with who you truly are to be effective. Setting "heart-centered" intentions means choosing what abundance means to you (e.g., time, money, connections) and aligning your life accordingly.
4. Focus on How You Desire to Feel: Intentions are affirmations of how you want to feel and decisions for your future. They reveal core emotions, such as peace, love, joy, or acceptance, which influence decisions and actions.
5. About the Journey, Not the Destination: Intentions offer a general roadmap for daily living. While you might set goals to achieve tangible milestones that contribute to your intention (e.g., feeling abundant), the intention itself is a continuous guide that can adapt as life changes.
A mindset that provides the foundation for effective goals drives the consistent action needed to achieve them. Such goals are powerful, tied to personal values, and strengthen your belief in your potential.
6. An effective mindset provides the foundation for achieving goals. This mindset, rooted in personal values, strengthens your belief in your potential and drives consistent action.
Connecting daily with your true intentions is crucial for reaching your goals and experiencing desired feelings. Practically, an intention promotes accountability, offers focus and motivation, and aids in decision-making and time management.
When you clarify your desires and direction, it becomes easier to prioritize. For instance, if your intention is to feel abundant, your goals will naturally foster those feelings, whether abundance means freedom, positivity, or something else to you.
Ultimately, your goals, like your intentions, should align with your personal values.
