Getting Started with Mindfulness Meditation
Meditation is not a practice it is a choice to a way of being. One thought is to consider mediation as a way to discipline that allows us to develop, refine and enhance our capacity to pay attention and to be in the present moment. As with most things the more we practice the more likely we are to expand our capacity and our ability to focus on any object or event that comes to us in the field of awareness, either inwardly or outwardly.
Remember, the journey to optimal health is unique for each individual. By exploring the power of MSBM you can unlock new pathways to healing and welcome an increased balanced and dynamic life. Begin your personal practice with:
Sitting or lying down comfortably
Notice what your legs are doing
Straighten your upper body—but don't stiffen.
Notice what your arms are doing
Soften your gaze
Feel your breath
Notice when your mind wanders from your breath
Be kind about your wandering mind
